Texas Mass Spectrometry Discussion Group (TXMSDG)

The Texas Mass Spectrometry Discussion Group (TXMSDG) is a non-profit organization and dynamic community dedicated to fostering collaboration, learning, and innovation within the mass spectrometry field. We provide an open forum for professionals, researchers, students, and enthusiasts to exchange ideas, explore new developments, and engage in meaningful discussions that advance this essential scientific discipline.

Our diverse membership spans across academia, medical research facilities, biotechnology, pharmaceutical industries, and environmental labs, as well as mass spectrometry vendors and manufacturers. By bringing together a wide range of perspectives, TXMSDG serves as a hub for scientific exchange, professional development, and networking.

Key Activities:

  • Seminars and Presentations: We host regular seminars, both in-person and virtual, featuring renowned scientists who share their insights and latest findings in mass spectrometry. Each seminar is followed by a social hour, providing an opportunity for casual networking and discussion.
  • Annual Events: Our premier event includes a corporate exhibition with ample time for interaction between scientists and vendors, as well as a plenary lecture from a leading expert in mass spectrometry.
  • Networking and Social Gatherings: We also organize informal gatherings and happy hours throughout the year to foster community connections and encourage collaboration across different sectors.

TXMSDG’s activities are made possible by the support of its members and corporate sponsors. Together, we strive to push the boundaries of mass spectrometry, inspire innovation, and contribute to scientific advancements that impact research and industry alike.

We invite you to join us in building a vibrant, engaged mass spectrometry community here in Texas.
